I wish each month was now because you and each writer that contributed made me feel passionate about each book!

Books have a way of growing richer through discussion, don't they?!

Yes! That is why my favorite thing I do is my in person book club. If I could only do one fun thing it would be that once a month!

I am very excited to reread this one! And I’m hoping to really fall in love with Cather and read some other things by her! Dixie has inspired me!

The list for this year continues to be fire. This is one of my favorite books, and I had the same reaction when I first read it of checking if Cather was Catholic or not because she just got it so well. And I love what was said about how much place/landscape and local culture are reflected in her books!

I didn't check to see if she was Catholic until after I had finished -- I was so surprised that she wasn't, but that fact says a lot to me about the powers of observance and artistry. She understood it so well.

"almost painfully beautiful" is a great description. I finished this one a few weeks ago and handed it to a good friend. It's a must read, one of those that kindles community in lots of different kinds of relationships. I love the way you introduce it here.
