Welcome to Reading Revisited, a place for friends to enjoy some good old-fashioned book chat while revisiting the truth, beauty, and goodness we’ve found in our favorite books.
Hello, Readers!
We have officially entered into my favorite reading time of the year. For the next several months you can find me under a cozy blanket, hot drink in one hand, spooky book in the other (when my children are asleep or otherwise occupied).
Jane Eyre is next up on our roster and I’m very excited to read this lovely novel along with you all! She has all the autumn, gothic vibes we’re going for, but also leaves me deeply moved at every revisit. Depending on your edition, this book may seem like quite the tome, but remember, it’s a gothic novel…looks can be deceiving. Really, though, you’ll get to the end and be shocked at how quickly it’s over. Below is the schedule for our read-along posts!
Wednesday, September 18: Jane Eyre Introduction
Friday, September 20: A (very brief) Prelude to Jane Eyre
Monday, September 23: Reading Revisited ep. 16: Intro to Jane Eyre and Gothic Novels w/ Eleanor Bourg Nicholson
Wednesday, September 25: Jane Eyre volume 1 (~ 150 pages)
Wednesday, October 2: Jane Eyre volume 2 (~ 150 pages)
Wednesday, October 9: Jane Eyre volume 3 (~ 150 pages)
Until next time, keep revisiting the good books that enrich your life and nourish your soul.

For those, like me, whose book is not divided into volumes, here is the chapter breakdown: Volume One consists of chapters one to fifteen, Volume Two sixteen to twenty-seven, and Volume Three twenty-eight to thirty-eight.
Oh what a wonderful choice! I’m in! Can’t wait to discuss this lovely book.
