Don’t tell anyone but I’ve never read Jane Eyre. However wanted to say your summary and discussion guide is solid. I may borrow some elements of it for my CS Lewis reading group. Keep up the great work!
Hannah, being our resident Gothic Girl, has been a fantastic guide through this book!
And you should definitely pick up Jane Eyre ASAP. I just finished it this morning and I think I will be in mourning for the next few days because it might be the perfect book!
I’ve heard that description before about it being the perfect book. I feel the same about the count of Monte Cristo. I should probably add Jane eyre to my TBR.
Do it! It’s worth every bit of the time required to read 1500 pages :) it raises a number of moral questions as well regarding revenge and other things. Aside from that, it is highly entertaining and will make you want to book a trip to France, Italy, and other places. Hope you enjoy.
“How awkward will it be in Heaven to meet Charlotte and Emily Bronte at the same time, requiring you to figure out how you can express your love of Jane Eyre without also having to give your honest opinion of Wuthering Heights?”

Oooh I'm thinking Count of Monte Cristo may have to be early on my 2025 list!

I am so intimidated by The Count of Monte Cristo because it is so long! One day I'll have to get to it!

Haha, love it. (Though truthfully I'm one of the rare ones who loves them both...) Oh to have been a fly on the wall in the Brontë house.
