I love Intro to Christianity and that opening bit about doubt being a bridge between believers and doubters is one of the passages that has stuck with me over the years. And I’ve had that Kreeft book on the “To Read” for a while-I admit the cover turned me off! I read Death on a Friday Afternoon last lent and it’s wonderful! All three of Benedict’s books on Jesus are worth it-but they are dense (literally was about a decade getting through all three). We looooove the St. Gregory prayer book in this house-it was my Christmas gift to Andrew this year and we’ve both found it to be so beautiful. And I have not yet touched Silence either because it scares me. My Lenten read recommendations: Ignatius Study Bible (an early birthday gift that has been incredibly mind blowing), A Poet Before the Cross by Paul Claudel, Death Comes for the Archbishop, and Diary of a Country Priest. This year I’m doing the Divine comedy, and it’s been perfect
I've had that Noonday Devil book on my TBR for the last year or so - along with a few other acedia-related books. That's actually a brilliant addition to a Lent reading stack, I'm taking note.
The Malcolm Guite title is a great idea; I'll have to check that out. Also, I love Sister Wendy Beckett! I want to get all of her art books; I've got her "The Story of Painting" which is comprehensive. Now, I think I need the Lent and Advent publications.

Seriously I've done it 2-3 Lents in a row and its amazing! I am trying to convince my husband to read it with me this year!
Benedictus by Sophia Institute Press is the TLM version of Magnificat. It’s a gorgeous publication. Highly recommend!
Yes we got that for a bit too! Very pretty!

I bought her Lent one after recording this episode and I am so excited. Also it is so cute and little!!
